Ongoing thereafter: first Saturdays, starting May 3rd until October.

Starting Saturday May 3rd:

Craft day is the first Saturday of every “summer” month (when there are Loveland fighter practices). 10 am – 6 pm at Ásleif’s house near Carter Lake. There are sewing machines and space for inside-type projects upstairs and garage space for messy ones. There is a refrigerator, microwave, and snacks. Armoring is welcome!

Address:
1601 Turkey Walk Trail
Loveland, CO 80537

See the map and directions for details. This is a mountain dirt road and GPS is often unreliable. Contact Ásleif at asleif@feorlen.org for information or accessibility needs.

Craft day is in the two story workshop. There is zero-step access upstairs as long as the weather is dry.

The mountain dirt road is steep and narrow. Carpool with someone with a 4WD/AWD vehicle if you can. Contact Ásleif at asleif@feorlen.org for information or accessibility needs.

GPS is often inaccurate. If you would like to use GPS, navigate to the Flatiron Reservoir campground, turn _right_ off the paved road, then follow the directions from there.

GPS waypoint:
Flatiron Reservoir campground
10932 W County Road 18E
Loveland, CO 80537

Directions from Loveland:

  • Take 1st street west until it dead ends into S County Road 29.
  • Turn left on CR 29, then take the next right on W County Road 18E (Pole Hill Road). Look for the sign “No Access To Estes Park.”
  • Follow CR 18E to the Flatiron Reservoir campground on the left.
  • On the right, across from the campground, turn on Flatiron Mountain Road.
  • Continue uphill to Turkey Walk Trail to the right.
  • Follow Turkey Walk Trail, past Lowder Road on the right and the emergency access road on the left.
  • Look for two yellow buildings. The driveway is on the left, just past the emergency access road.

Important: Do not turn on the emergency access road!

From Fort Collins, Greeley, and points east:

  • Go through Loveland to 1st street, which is on the south side of downtown. You can reach 1st street from Denver Avenue, Lincoln (287), Taft/Shields, or Wilson/Taft Hill.
  • Follow the directions from 1st street.

From Estes Park and Drake:

  • Take US 34 east and turn right on CR 29/Carter Lake Road.
  • Turn right on 18E and follow the directions.

From Boulder and points south, there are two options.

Easier:
  • Diagonal Highway to Longmont, then 287 North to Loveland.
  • Turn left on 1st street then follow the directions.
Rural adventure through Lyons:
  • Follow GPS navigation, starting from 28th street (US 36) north of downtown Boulder.
  • After many back roads you will end up on CR 29 from the south.
  • Turn left onto 18E and follow the directions.
